My guess would be that the display cable or display crapped out

 

Just to double check the gpu, can you output it to another display?

I’m not a big computer guy, but my friend is and he took it apart and made sure everything was in place. He said all the wires look fine. I was able to output it onto another screen. Works fine on another screen. I bought this laptop like three months ago used.

Should be in warranty then, i'd advise to let the store get you a new one or fix it for you.

If you're formally an engineer, avoid responsibility. That's what senior engineers get paid for.

Sounds like there might be something wrong with the display itself. If another monitor works fine then there's no problem with the GPU.

What is actually supposed to go here? Some people put their specs, others put random comments or remarks about themselves or others, and there are a few who put cryptic statements.
