Hello! This is my first time posting here. I would like to ask reasons why my laptop is having lag spikes during games. Sometimes I try to close a program, it would say unresponsive before it closes.
I also see in the task manager Performance tab is that Disk 1 (D:) is at 100% active time. I try disabling background apps, and other remedies I see online. It improves for awhile but it still persists. And when watching Youtube Videos the visuals sometimes try to catch up to the audio. Any tips on this?

Specs:
Asus FX503VM
intel i5-7300HQ
Nvidia GTX1060 6GB
4GB RAM
The OS and applications are installed here: 120GB SSD - I put the files here: 1TB HDD

When I first got the laptop. It works really nicely and everything was okay. I don't know how it slowed down or why. Would like to ask help here. Thank you!

Do I need to get at least 8GB now so see if the problem goes away? When I was playing League of Legends before, it was smooth gameplay all throughout. It plays well over 60fps but now it sometimes dips down to 10fps then jump back up. So was thinking if it has anything to do with something else before I invest to get additional RAM?

4GB isn't enough for modern systems imo, forget about games

 

And do a fresh Windows install

Where did you get a laptop like that with only 4GB RAM? 8GB is the absolute minimum for gaming in 2019.

At that time I didn't think of it. But yeah, will aim for getting more RAM. It just froze awhile ago when I had lightroom, spotify, and when I was about to launch chrome. ?

Also if I have only Lightroom up, sometimes I have to wait for it. Even though I just alt tab on it. But will be adding more RAM and a fresh install for windows. These photos are for reference here if anyone is curious. ?

Page file will start kicking in at ~75-80% usage. 4GB just isn't enough for W10 systems
