I'm planing to get a new gpu and there's two options in my mind , an msi rtx 2080 witch cost 700$ or a zotac 2070 amp extreme edition  witch cost 520$ for the 20700c option and 500$ for the 20700b option .

so what should I get and what is the difference between 20700c option and 20800b option . thanks :)

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

full hd 144hz , I can't order from ebay because most of the sellers won't ship it to my country .

What country? Is there no local used options either for about the same price as the 2070?

1080p 144hz is perfect for a 2070. If you need more power for later on then 2080 but the 2070 is a good card( I have one i know).

the moment I tell you you will understand why , cause I live in Saudi Arabia . and the used options are overpriced :(

Then ya I have no idea.

But if you're only gaming at 1080p 144hz, an RX 580 8GB is good enough at medium settings. An RTX 2060 would be more for high/ultra gaming.

Anything past that is becoming a bit overkill for the resolution.

2070 is definitely not for the future, so u either save money with a 2060 or go with a 2080.

The 2070 is better then the 1080 when oc. The 2070 is not a weak card and it won't bottleneck your cpu. even a 2060 like xg32 said a 2060 will be fine too. But since you want a card for the future to come then go for 2080 for sure.

The 2060 is only about 10-15% slower than the 2070 depending on the game

CPUs bottleneck max fps/refresh rate

GPUs bottleneck resolution/quality settings.

In some asian country including mine the price of 2060 and 2070 is really close. by paying $50 more i can get a 2070 instead of a 2060 in my country which is why i got my card.

True but it have more vram though. I know RE2 eat up a shit ton of vram and so does apex legend when you put it on full ultra

1080p 144hz doesn't need the extra vram, and no1 who plays apex seriously do ultra, the 2070 is just a horrible deal overall, which is why we are recommending a 2060 or a 2080, unless local prices differ. if it's 520 for a 2070 and 700 for a 2080, go with a 2080.

yes, if you are not gonna upgrade your monitor or gpu for 3-5 years, the 2080 is a good fit, it's a bit of a luxury item for 1080p.
