Alright everyone,

Building a computer today and my 770 is not recognized in BIOS or Win7.

Specs:

PNY GTX770 2GB

Gigabyte z87 OC Force

Samsung 840 EVO SSD

Intel i7 4770k

Corsair 650TX (650W PSU)

Corsiar Dominator 16gb 1333mhz

My integrated graphics are working fine. Upon disabling them the screen goes dark and nothing is displayed until I clear CMOS.

I have tried resetting CMOS and my BIOS is 100% up to date. Putting a different card in yielded the same results. I have tried every PCI-E lane on my board to no avail. It is also interesting to note that when the computer starts the graphics card fans spin at 100%.  I've been beating my head against a wall for a while now. Help?

Thank in Advance

Try reseating your gfx card,

did you connect all of the power connectors?

few hours ago @upliftsleet1974 was having the same issue and what he has done is; he plugged his 660 to pcie but booted on onboard graphics and even though gpu the was installed it was not getting detected by device manager at that point he just installed his Nvidia graphics drivers and the card was installed and detected after that he was able to use his card without any issues.

try it maybe it will work for you too

How can I install drivers without the card present? When I try it simply says that hardware is not detected.

Reseated multiple times on multiple lanes and everything is good power wise

Set Graphics to PCIE. If not do this. Boot into OS using iGPU witht he graphcs card unplugged. After booting up plug in the GPU. And see if the system detects it and see if you can install the drivers.

I have tried something similar to this before and it doesnt seem to work. I am trying it again though following you directions. Ill let you know

Ok. I plugged in one monitor to the Integrated and another to the 770. Now it won't let me get into BIOS but says "you must supply power to this PCIe graphics card". I think thinks this means that it is recognizing a card there but there is no power. I am certain that there is power to the card and an adequate amount. Any thoughts?
