I own an intel i3 cpu and i want to upgrade to a better one. Any Recommendations? I'm thinking about an i5 7600k.

First, put more info in the title.  Help doesn't give us any idea what you need and may not draw folks who have info that will help you.

 

Second, what is your system right now?  Which i3?  What motherboard?  Budget?

Which i3? If you need to upgrade your motherboard anyways, then I would suggest Ryzen

In that case, I would suggest a ryzen 5 2600 and a b450 board seeing as the i5 costs nearly $250 still. Keep in mind you will need new memory as well. What is your Graphics card?

I like your sass. He's right though. We need to know how much you want to spend, what other components you have in your system, and what you want your system to perform better in. Why do you want to upgrade the CPU?

Remember, you should quote people so they see your response.

 

So, the best CPU you can get for your motherboard is probably an i7 3770k, but that's not really super worth it unless you find a good deal on used pricing.

 

Ryzen is solid. Do you have some money to spend?

I think we've got a kid here who wants a faster PC but has no money and no authority to make any sort of moves on it.

 

He'd have to get mom/dad to fund it and buy it at the very least.

If they're just going to buy a 699$ computer from BestBuy with 32GB RAM because 'the bestbuy employee told me to' with not even a dGPU, I'd probably not.

Yeah I felt like I was going a bit over budget with that motherboard. I actually have that one, if OP decides to go for it it's pretty good
