While gaming Withcer 3 on ultra (72FPS avg.) after some time game suddenly freezes, i get black screen and signal lose even though computer is still running and i can hear music playing etc, so i need to force reboot (hold power button for some sec).

Is this overclock fault?

GPU: Asus RX580 Strix 8GB

OC : GPU Clock - 1475 , Memory Clock - 9000, GPU Voltage - 1200mV, Power target - 150%.

Tried for short time, ive gamed lots of other games at stock no crashes or whatsoever...

Some games are just like that. Unreal engine games for instance HATE any sort of overclock usually.

try to start playing only witcher 3 at 1920 resolution. and not ultra but high. remove the hair effect option too. and check if it does happen the crash.

if the crash is not happening then maybe the ultra setting is pushing too hard your card to overclock. if you hear everything else and just sparshingly frames appearring then its a bottleneck. do you have windows updates on, antiruses scanning etc at the game time? try removing all unnecessery programs from the bottom right of the screen. if you alt+tab can you see the windows again? also try to lower the power target from 150% to 100% only.

i can play high 60+ fps without OC@1080p_res. I'm trying to push card to have stable 60 fps atleast on ULTRA, all hair effects removed cuz with hair effects i dont reach 60fps on ultra.

is your alt-tab on windows work even if it happens too slow? cause if it happens then it is another matter and if does not happen it is another matter. the temperature? is it normal as reffered in reviews for the card?
