i know about the windows parentals. they dont cover my need of allowing games ONLY From 08.00pm to 10.00pm. i dont neeed then to be able to play2 hours period BUT at certain time in the day. And because they dont use the PC only for games they do their homeworks and lessons i need that activity to not be blocked by that software. unless i am messing in the wrong section or havent seen a button in their site for that.

hello guys/parents apparently for the question to be answered properly! I am in need of an application/Proxy Software/Antivirus suite or anything that i install in a pc and can allow me to do just the following: I need to Block say Game Software from 08:00 the morning till 17:00 the evening and allow everything else all day! Does anyone know an Antivirus suite or software that can do that? thank you.

...so you need to decide...you want a ferrari engine in a fiat....or in a ferrari! and what i mean by that. You buy a good cpu ...want to oc...in a mobo chipset of the previous generation. I would say go for b550 that has better thermals on vrms. the difference is 20 bucks that seems to not matter that much to you if you go for a 3900x. OR else stay in b450 without oc.

your case is screwless. you need to aligh the gpu in place with the small holes that pull out. and then press a bit. then put the long frame that covers the holes on it and screw that one. otherwise...i am prety sure the case has....a manual!

the safest aproach is to use/borrow another psu and turn on the pc. IF it turns on then its psu. if not...maybe motherboard or cpu...or ram...depends from lights in mobo or beeps that happen. you provide little information. Maybe even the switch in the case. try having the psu on and try to touch the power switch pin in the motherboard with a iron thing. so you remove the case switch suspision or not.

Thoughts on the Patriot Viper 4 3600Mhz kit?
ckinfos replied to Nexblitzer's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
They are trouble free if the motherboard is compatible with them. I have them for an amd 3600 ryzen5. they are fast and reliable. since i am using patriot the recent years they are steady in quality. i say you use them. -
just for anyone who cares or happens to have the same problem in the future. After trying every possible scenario i managed to have stability again to the circuitry of the room. For some reason seemed that the fuse in the Electrical Table for my room, "became" mor sensitive when it reached the limits of 10A. I believe because the Active PFC propably requested the full A it could get at the press of the button or when starting the machine it pushed the duse to its limits. Beeing used for over 10 years it must have come to end of life for the fuse. What i did is change the fuse with a new one. N

I am having a strange issue referring to my new pc installation and electrical power. I have this PSU installed : PSU ZALMAN ZM750-EBT 750W 80 PLUS GOLD. My graphics is Gigabyte Gaming OC 5700xt and an AMD r5 3600. I have an APC UPS Line interactive 1000VA installed connected to the wall. In my House's Central Electrical Wall Table for my room the Electrical Safety is a 10A. We use in greece 220V power and the true voltage in my house is usually around 235-240. In my previous build and usual Daytime i could have my 550W psu PC ON, together with some lights

Which of these 2 Laptops is better?
ckinfos replied to jasonmbrown222's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
i will say that the 1st one is propably more game related than the 2nd one. that said, does not make the 1st useless for other computatonal situations. Expect propably more heat, less battery life etc.not to mention that is refurbished. For me the 2nd one is globally better not only because it is new but i believe the general behaviour in battery and heat will be better! the ssd though its too small. For me gaming in laptops will always suck though. either from screens or gpus! -
there are manyh things that can go wrong. 1st PSU. 2nd Memory 3rd SSD dead 4th even the mobo is dead due to electrical surge. Did you had any power drop recently? Can you test with another psu? Can you remove 1 of the ram sticks (if you have multi memory sticks) and try? then put back the other 1 and check again. Can you try booting from live cd/dvd/usb? (to check for the disk) Can you enter bios?

GIGABYTE Gaming rx5700XT OC Water Cooling
ckinfos replied to ckinfos's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
....i have searched and inquired almost 10 companies with water blocks....they all refer mostly to reference card designs by other manufacturers like gigabyte or asus. they seem to have no solution for a custom card like mine and many others too... BTW those you refer too...they dont provide one! thank you anyway. -
1st) try to set the same size of pagefile for min and max. use the recommended value from windows on min and max. 2nd) check the task scheduler if it has somehting like defragmenting or scanning starting in the windows session of it. 3rd) check if your antivirus tries to scan the drive at some time. 4th) If restarting make the hikups go and that happens after sleepin of your pc...my best guess is that something realises it has to do a scan and starts it then...moment it wakes up. It should be windows defender/update, Antivirus , or any other tool that runs in memory that time.
