Older 15" notebook options?

If I was looking for a 15"+ notebook with a great screen, good keyboard with a NUMPAD, and a 5th gen or newer CPU, is there anything better than the Lenovo T550?

It doesn't even have to be better, it can be on par. Good screen is a must. Portability or battery life isn't a factor, it'll be a desk queen.

I was actually going to say T550. I've been using one for work for the last three years. Even with the crappy 1366x768 TN panel, it's been plenty for my needs. The W550s has a little more beef in a few areas, but the lack of support for true quad-core CPUs makes it kind of a waste unless you really need those Quadro graphics for something.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

You couuld look for an older Inspiron 15 7000 or older XPS 15 (back in the days where they looked like MacBook clones)

Yeah, I'd definitely get one with a 1080p display. At that resolution it's just such a necessity.

Luckily I don't really need anything intense, as it'll be used to post items on eBay. It'll spend most of it's life tethered to a DSLR.
