New First Time PC Build

Hey, just new to the forum and this whole Custom PC build stuff, and I decided to show off and get some advice with the new build my Dad and I just created.  

 

I was getting to the point that my 4 year old ASUS laptop was not able to play games anymore (have to say it lasted pretty long) so i started looking for another solution. I started this adventure around October 2013 and have been slowly completing the computer and have just finished it.

 

It runs fantastic and games and applications look amazing! I have to give props to the guys at Memory Express in Calgary. They certainly know their s$%t and gave me some great advice and told me oodles of information regarding products.

 

Linus has also been a big help as well as Hardware Canucks/NCIX/3DOverclock and many other sites that gave me ideas on this new build.

 

Here is the Layout:

 

1. Graphics card: EVGA Geforce GTX 780 Classified 3GB w/ ACX Cooling
2. CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k @ 3.5Ghz
3. Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Formula
4. RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengence at 1866MHz
5. Case: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Matte Black w/ HUE Light strip
6. Power Supply: EVGA 750W Bronze Modular PSU
7. Cooling: NZXT X40 CPU Cooler w/ Noctua 140mm fan
8. Storage: Sandisk Extreme II 240 SSD (2TB HD coming soon)
9. Optical Drive: Asus Bluray Writer
10. Display: Asus PB278Q 1440p Monitor
11. Peripherals (old purchases): Coolermaster storm trigger blue switch mechanical keyboard and Logitech G700s Mouse.
12. Speakers: Logitech Z623 THX 2.1 system

It is very bright lol. I think i'm at the first stage of PC building. The first timers are like "MUST HAVE ALL THE LIGHTS!" and the veteren builders are sleek and and simple.

 

 

The Balloon is very thought full thank you 

 

 

And yes... I did slightly overspend on my budget.
