Hey guys,

firstly it might be good to tell you guys what I mainly use my PC for - I mainly do play World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and use my PC for playing and streaming Poker.

Recently my GPU died on me and I decided to basically build a new PC.

I will use a few of my old components I'll list those first:

Power Supply: Power Supply I'll carry over Sharkoon 600W

Case: Using a Simens Scaleo X Maxi Case

Harddrive: Old Harddrive 1GB

so now to the interesting stuff, the new stuff I'm planning to use.

Harddrive: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB SSD

Mainboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus - not 100% which one of those I should go for

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 - you also get The Divison 2 on top of it which I already have a friend ready that will buy that off me for 30€ so I'll effectively only pay 120€ for it

Cooler: Thermalright HR-02 Macho Rev. B Tower Kühler or Alpenföhn Brocken

GPU: So this one took me the longest time to decide, but just given budget reasons the RX 580 won for me - especially because you get two games on top of it which I already have a buyer for (so I'll save another 60€ and will only pay 140€ for it) ( RX 580 )

RAM: Not finally decided on one yet but it shall def. be a 2x 8GB 3200 Mhz one probably something like 16 GB Skill Rip Jaws DDR4 3200Mhz Dual Kit

So for these components I will be paying (given all the promotions) only ~ 580€ which fits pretty perfectly into my budget.

How does this Budget System look to you guys?

Did I do any obvious blunder in choosing the parts?

Any suggestions / Ideas of other products for a simillar amount of money?

Greetings

Sebastian

I'm having a hard time finding this exact case online but I'll assume you've made sure it can handle decent airflow and has the cable managing room you want.

Other than that the selections you've made seem fine.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yes I had the same issues trying to find the exact case, I purchased it on ebay 6 years back and that link is dead - that's why I didn't put a link in for it. A good friend of mine used those cases a lot for his builds and recommended them to me - I will ask him your question and make sure the case has those two points.

Great build,   I have a similar setup using a Ryzen 5 1600 and RX 580 8GB and its an excellent setup for 1080P Esports titles for that price you cannot go wrong.

Also, that PSU struck me as a bit "cheap" so I hailed @LukeSavenije for some aid:

Quote

that sharkoon psu you show me there seems to be based on the cwt gpk platform which is also used in the thermaltake smart line. so i would personally swap it

So if you have some leftover funds from your new PC, a new power supply would be a good investment. Click the PSU in my signature to see the tier list.

From the one video I found

Airflow doesnt look spectacular but for WoW, LoL and streaming it should be fine. CPU height looks a bit limiting so make sure you acount for that. That looks like a 92mm cooler on there so you might need a shorter cooler than the one you have listed (the 162mm tall Thermaltake cooler might not fit)

Hey,

so I just meassured the depth of the case - so it is about 17cm or 170mm deep (meassured the room inside and not the outside depth).

So ya I guess a 162 cooler def. won't fit then.

Would have to leave the case open then which kind of blows.

What would you suggest is a good / fitting cooler-height for my case then? (Looking for a new one now) @TVwazhere

The suggested Arctic Freezer 33 is 150mm tall, which should fit pretty well. It wont perform AS well as the Macho, but it's only an R5 2600 and I've used that cooler to hit 4.05ghz stable and kept temps under 75ºC under load. [See Blue Build 2018]

A question about the mainboard - I only would pay about 10-20€ more for a Gigabyte Elite or a Gigabyte Pro compared to the ASRock Pro4.

Do you suggest that the boards are actually pretty much simillar or would you say investing the extra 10-20€ is a good investment?

I have a hard time seeing the difference in between the mainboards really (besides the obvious stuff like how many USB ports it has hehe).

they are quite similar, but 10-20 euros can be worth it for some just for the looks and more rgb headers
