Just wanting to know is the 600w bronze psu in the inwin a1 could handle a r7 2700x(auto boosting) and a vega 64(undervolted but with raised power limit) I read a lot of places that an undervolted v64 is a lot more efficient but have seen some people report spikes in wattage over 600 while the gpu was at 100%  I love the idea of the a1 on my desk with that wireless charging just curious if the psu is up to task?

Thank god for this guy.

I probably sifted through a hundred photos to find some details on the PSU.

238188.1e8ee7eff68bcd4c4ef47535c10335f0.

Here's a review from 8 years ago: https://www.hardwareinsights.com/in-win-power-man-ip-p600cq3-2-600w-review/3/#A-look-inside

Double forward + DC-DC converters. Decent protection IC. Performance is rather sluggish but still alot better than older group regulated units. I would see this comparable to budget PSUs such as the be Quiet System Power 9.

It could probably run your system. Not that I'd be particularly comfortable, especially with the coil whine and fan noise.

@jonnyGURU knows more about the Vega power spikes.

@Rexper

Nice find.

Vega 64s almost always trip OCP on 650W and under PSUs.  But since we don't know the OCP trip point for this PSU, that a wild card.

And, of course, the fact that it's DF is going to mean whining noises under load.

Is it really true that you can't use different PSUs in this thing without some modding?  That should make buying this case a hard pass for anyone.

I don't have the case yet. It just looks good for what I want, the psu can be switched without nodding based on reviews just can't use the psu cover and the charger will only then work if the computer is on.  Not worth it in my opinion if you have to switch the psu out guess ill keep looking lol.

Woops, that review was of a power supply with 1 letter difference. Not the same one.

In fact, your PSU uses a completely different design.

There is no info on it, besides what's provided here.

What we know:

  • it uses DC-DC. Evident by 100% of power on 12V rail
  • somewhat recent design as it "complies with ATX12V 2.4". Also the TUV cert was issued mid 2018.
  • loud
  • Full set of protections, and rated to 50C.
  • 80+ bronze and APFC, as-well as many safety certs.
  • Uses a 5Vsb micro USB connector for the wireless charger.
  • non-modular

So IDK about it's quality.

Any other PSUs with 5Vsb coming through a micro-USB connector?

just can't use the psu cover

I don't understand why the cover isn't compatible with a different, non-modular, similarly sized power supply.

Haven't had much luck with tripping OCP on my ~550W PSU so far (well, except for one but that would have surprised me if it didn't switch off but was fixable with a wire and a bit of solder and labeled as a 450W anyway)...

So wich didn't switch off (Assasin's Creed Odyssey Benchmark run):
Cooler Master Master Watt, 550W (but was screeching)

Cougar GX-F, 550W

Chieftec CSN-550C (SFX, CWT made) also seems to work. Though that one has no OCP on 12V, only OPP.

The one that did trip was bitfenix Formula 450W in Default Configuration, wich was to be expected.

With 2 Rails on the GPU it worked.

Seasonic G-550 also switched off (and is hella loud, way louder than the Nitro+)

According to GN review there is a screw that goes into the psu to hold the cover on, so no way to re-use it without nodding in some way.

Tey Catzilla.  Even the free version should trip the PSU.  I'll double check the settings I have on mine when I get back in the office on Monday.  If it doesn't, the OCP on that PSU you're using is hella high.

Or the Sapphire Nitro+ does something different and doesn't have that high transients as the Reference VEGA.

Here a similar Card to mine (the Limited Edition is no longer available, only the "normal" one with 2 PCIe Connectors):

Fun fact:
The Seasonic G550 switched off after the Assasin's Creed Odyssey Benchmark finished, in the screen where it shows the results.

But its so awfully loud that you wouldn't want to use it anyway.
