can't download new drivers

Hi, i have  ASUS R9 280X DirectCU II V2 and i instaled drivers from 2017, if i try get higher driver version,i just get a blue screen. I tried safe boot download and re install windows.

pls help ;c

have you uninstalled the drivers with DDU in safe mode and then installed the new drivers?

Yes, and after i boot in normal mode before i got in windows pops up blue screen

whats your OS? and is it 64bit?

Do you have the latest bios on the motherboard? The latest firmware (VGA bios) on the card? All power plugs on the card connected? Is the PSU strong enough? are you using the latest available chipset drivers? Have you tried updating the drivers through a utility like IOBit Driver Booster?

Yah i downloaded driver booster and updated all drivers eksept videocard becouse of blue screen.

Does the card come with a bios switch somewhere on it?

191x7 thanks a lot for that suggestion of the bios switch.

 

@Heskad - The solution - there's a bios switch on this 280X card located by the crossfire connector, switch this to the other position and it'll be using a newer bios version. On the old bios you can't install the latest drivers
