Hi guys,

Okay, so I've been lured into an mITX build because of the Bitfenix Prodigy's great looks. So I've got a couple of questions. Does anyone here have the Bitfenix Prodigy, how do you like it? Also what ITX motherboard would you recommend for me that is decent build quality? One last question, what PSU would fit into the Prodigy? Would something like the Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-P fit in this case? Thanks in advance for help.

This PC build will be a quite a huge upgrade for me so I obviously want to get good quality components.

what 'cha gunna do with the build?

the st60f-p will fit, but you'll wanna purchase the Silverstone PP05 short cable set for better

cable management, cuz there is not a lot of "extra" room for cable bundles. the mobo will

matter on your needs and processor choices.

if its for games and high end stuff i would look into the Asus deluxe m-itx board or the Evga Stinger m-itx board.

Thats 2 hot m-board for options all depends on your budget.

and i would go for a fully modular PSU, as you can only fit one graphics card a 650 would be plenty of power. look into the Evga Supernova 650 Gold if you like the Evga m/board.

I wouldl ike to build a Prodigy steam box in the future and would go for the Asus or Evga m-board.

There is others out there but if you want high end that's 2 suggestions to look into.

got to love Asus components

I would get a Asus P8Z77-I DELUXE board to not lose many features on a ATX board like overclocking. Your power supply will fit but it would be a tight fit because it is a modular psu. I do not have a Bitfenix Prodigy but if I plan on building a M-ITX build then I would probably go with this case.

Well..okay. Mostly video editing, really just for my hobby as I love to do that, I like being creative with it. I usually also do some light photo editing, I'm not a pro or anything but I looked at this case because a lot of people seem to be using it and so I figured I could possibly go with that. I do realise I would have limitations but with such a good looking case it's hard to say no to it.

do not buy anything other than the ASUS P8Z77-i DELUXE. that is a full on overclocking ready Mother Board packed in to a sweet little package. no compromises made.
I've taken your suggestion and I've chosen that ITX motherboard for my ITX build. Thanks for the suggest BTW I really don't want to compromise when it comes to a motherboard so I won't have to with that board.

Tempted to build one myself now, althou by the looks of it my old asus 580 DirectCU II OC wont fit due to the thickness :/
Owell it got a integrated GPU so ill live with that one until i can find something as nice as my 580
Any recomended PSU? if possible modular and rare metal certificated. and around 500-700w

Take it your 580 is a triple slot? , yeah those don't fit , you can only use duel slot cards.

the ASUS P8Z77-i DELUXE has the most features of any itx motherboard , another option is gigabyte Z77N-WiFi , its also feature rich and cheaper , its overclocking options are the real difference between that and the ASUS deluxe.

Well that depends. What's your budget? Your use is part editing and part gaming?
