Ping spikes and packet loss

dsr1598

About 3 days ago I was streaming to twitch and i noticed dropped frames, so I went to ping-test.net and noticed my ping spiking from 3 to 300-600 once every minute or so. Spectrum sent out a tech who changed old cables outside and got me a new modem. Before he left I ran the same test and had the same issues, but on his machine hooked up to the modem there was no ping fluctuation even though on my end it was spiking up to 300 at the time. Anybody have any ideas what my issue could be? It is very frustrating. Just to mention The PC I am on is hard wired. I eliminated a PC hardware issue by turning off my mobile data and running the same tests with the same results.

In my router logs i am getting errors like these

http://prntscr.com/mmrfzj

http://prntscr.com/mms6mq

http://prntscr.com/mmsivy

If unable to help could someone possibly point me in the right direction on where to go to find someone who might know what my issue is? Spectrum wants to send out another tech but I doubt there will be someone who knows any more than the last guy.

Okay the second one either looks like the local router DHCP server (what assigns your ip) or your ISP's DHCP Server is getting ready to assign a new dynamic ip address to the router and modem, or a device on the network.  The third one, the router is "smartly" changing your primary wireless channel which is basically the section of the band you're on to a channel with no or less interference than the one before.  The first I have not a clue maybe a device going dark on the network?

Hook to your modem directly and see if its still happening.

Could be a router issue if you are using an external router.

I have setups where I bypass the built in router because its crap.  3rd party routers behind a modem/router combo are pretty common.

Yeah same.  Currently relying on some Ubiquiti for enterprise.

After running ping plotter i am only seeing loss in the second column so my modem is fine which leads me to believe its a wiring issue in the house, I have already changed the co axial cable to no avail. I have a spectrum employee coming out here tomorrow and will ask him to check all the wiring.
