Modmic not sounding very good?

Im trying to figure out why my modmic 4 isnt sounding as clear as advertised.  Ive heard samples of it and it sounds way better than mine, I suspect its because of my motherboard audio.  In which case, would it be smart to purchase an amplifier?

what motherboard are you using? and what's your particular problem? does it sound bad? how bad does it sound like does it have lots of static? sorry for a lot of questions lol

An amplifier will not improve sound quality, it will only increase the level.

Can you upload a sample please?

 

Also, state how it is connected, and what sound card is in integrated in your system.

I have a gigabyte H270 gaming 3 motherboard, and my biggest problem is in discord, my friends complain about a buzzing/ popping noise that happens periodically
