The time has come for me to finally upgrade my pc. Ive been putting it off for far too long now.

Since Im not as up to date with hardware as I use to be, I need some help deciding on what to actually buy.

I mainly only play games, watch movies, and listen to music on my pc. So I dont need anything insane, just want something fast and will last for a few years.

Current build:

Build Idea first draft:

Trying to save as much money as I can with a budget of $1300 usd, but squeezing out as much as possible.

Any help would be much appreciated, Im not very handy with pc lists anymore.

Sorry for all the clutterness xD

I would just add a RX 570 (because its cheap) and see what is going to happen in Q3 of this year.

If AMD closes the gap with intel on overall mainstream performance, prices will come down on CPU's.  Also there is a glimmer of hope for some sort of GPU competition/lower prices with Navi supposedly being a different architecture than GCN.

Looks like you're adding a 1TB SSD to a pair of 120GB SSDs and a pair of spinning disks. This isn't necessarily a bad idea, however 5 drives in a system to get to roughly 3TB collectively is going to make things either hard to manage or hard to find, IMHO. Before trying to lead you a different direction, can we get a little more information on how data is currently laid out on the drives, and how you envision organizing the data with the new drive?

I barely use the harddrives much anymore other then just storage for movies, music, and photos. One SSD is my boot drive, and the other is where I install the current game I play.

I was planning on removing one HDD and replacing both SSD with the 1TB SSD, So Id end up with 2TB, one SSD and one HDD.

edit: After thought, I could keep my 120gb boot drive, and get the 1TB SSD for mass storage and the 1TB HDD for whatever I want. That sounds like a better plan, but the new SSD would be much fast then my really old SSD. Thought?
