Hey there,

Recently I bought a new motherboard, new cpu, ram and ssd.

I wanted to upgrade my old pc, so now I've got:

Motherboard: ROG MAXIMUS XI Hero

CPU: i9 9900k

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 240M

Memory: HyperX Predator RGB 16Gb 2933MHZ (2x8Gb)

PSU: Corsair AX860

GPU: GTX 1080 STRIX

Boot Drive: Samsung 970 EVO NVME 500gb (clean)

So I installed the new parts, try to run it and wouldn't recognize the memory, so I updated the BIOS firmware, and now I get a different Q Code (AC) which is "Reserved for ASL..." and says to go to this list of ASL status (there will be pic in the list), I don't know what that means and it doesn't Post...

I just wanted know if it's possible to get it working, because I don't know what to do to make it work...

Thank you,

Best regards

I have a couple of thigns that may help.

First try reseating the RAM, this has often worked for me in the past.

Also, you can try booting the system with onyl one stick of RAM, if one dosent work, do the same thing with the otehr and see the result. If this works then reboot with all RAM in place :)

PC SPECS: i7 - 3820, 32GB GSkill DDR3 RAM, 2TB Seagate Hybrid Drive, Intel 240GB SSD, Corsair Spec Omega Case, Strix GTX 1060 6GB, Corsair H150i Pro RGB, Corsair CX850M PSU

Mobo goes to assasins creed mode, if you touch both ram slots it will transfer you to you ancestors memory via DNA memory

Ffs I misread your first answer xd

I used the IO's USB flashback BIOS

And yes I did connected my ancestors memory to my system, now I've got a tun of memory, but it not compatible with my setup :(

Came home did that and did not work...

Took it out of the case and try it out again and it's the same, AC Q Code, and no post

Boot without the GPU installed. Plug the screen into the motherboard.

If this does not work then remove all your RAM. Do you get a different code?

It's not a race to the bottom.

Already tried that, and if I remove all the dimms it gives me code 53

I think i figured it out, I downloaded the latest firmware and  updated the BIOS again,  it POSTs now, I used only 1 memory stick and pluged in the DIMM Slot B1 (which is not primary) and it did go to the BIOS, I'm now trying to install windows and see if it boots...

I'll update when I get some news, hopefully good news.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help!!
Best Regards
