work & gaming laptop around 800-1000 bucks

Need a laptop for work, programming, 3d modelling, and occasional gaming

I have a PC to do heavy workloads, so I don't need anything too fancy

just need decent power to play games ( Rainbow six, Apex legends, & Tekken7 ), don't really care about graphics as long as the fps is stable

Options I found

  • Dell G7 (8750H, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD+1TB Harddrive, 1050ti) 1100 USD
  • Lenovo Y530 (8750H, 8GB RAM, 1TB Harddrive, 1050ti) 1200 USD
  • Lenovo Y530 (8300H, 8GB RAM, 1TB Harddrive, 1050ti) 1010 USD
  • ASUS TUF FX504G (8750H, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD+1TB Harddrive, 1050ti) 1080 USD
  • ASUS TUF FX504G (8750H, 8GB RAM, 1TB Harddrive, 1050) 960 USD
  • ASUS TUF FX504G (8300H, 8GB RAM, 1TB Harddrive, 1050) 790 USD

I'm open for new options for the laptop model, these are just the ones I found looking around

Thanks In Advance!

Note that the G7 was refreshed during CES 2019.

If you get a laptop with only a HDD, you'll need to immediately upgrade the laptop with a SSD.

Avoid the TUF FX504.

As for other options: HP Omen 15.

FX504 struggle with cooling. 8300H and 1050 could be passable in thermals, but then the performance is as bad as a new gaming laptop could be and there's no SSD.

Currently staying in Indonesia, 800-1000 in USD, don't care about weight, preferably at least 4 or more hours of battery life, but don't really matter since it'll be plugged into the wall most of the time
