Posted February 14, 2019 I only have $800 to spend on a gaming laptop. I know it will not even be close to the best. I am wanting it to be at least 15.6 in. Weight and size does not matter. Posted February 14, 2019 If you're in the UK, I recommend looking at PC Specialist (https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/laptops/). I purchased a rather high end system from them a few months back and I recommend them. I went with the 15.6 inch Vyper with an i7-8750H, 12Gb RAM, GTX1060 etc etc. Only thing I would say about the machine I got, the screen was less than satisfactory for my uses, but I can't comment on other models. Posted February 14, 2019 The 1060 3GB makes up for the slight lack of Vram with its speed. There is not quite as much of a gap between the mobile versions of the 1050 Ti and the 1060 3GB while compared to the difference between their desktop counterparts, but its still enough to fully justify getting. The Walmart laptop you were also looking also to me puts to much into an SSD while leaving the CPU a bit lacking, and on top of that your limited to that 256GB SSD. If your just looking to play 1-2 lighter games at a time that is fine, but you may run into issues with HDD space if your try and download to many games all at once. The only other issue you may run into is the amount of RAM. Many more modern games will struggle at 8GB of RAM if you also like to run a lot of background programs like Google chrome, but if you avoid that or play lighter games that won't be a huge problem.
