I did a little GPU/CPU logging with GPU-Z and Windows built-in Performance Monitoring.

I played the most demanding games I currently have (not much of a gamer so don't laugh)

Valley

and

Hellbound: Survival Mode.

Both are cranked as much as the GFX setting will allow.

GPU hits 100% while CPU stays around 20-25% for both games

GPU: GTX 660

CPU 2xXeon E5-2620

RAM: 32GB ECC DDR3

Is this normal? Or an indication I should change something?

Gamplay for both games are smooth (though to be honest, I wasn't checking frame rate counters)

GPU at 100% is the Goal.

Normal.

I see, if the situation were reversed, and the CPU was being crushed, while the GPU was idle, what would be the cause there? This is not happening, I'm simply curious.

For the record, I did try this on Armoured Warfare, and the GPU was at 100%, with the CPU getting slightly more workout, and maxing out at ~40%, but usually staying around 25%.

Although the temp of the GPU did rise to 70 degrees (I have the cover off the case, as the airflow isn't the best IMO. Dell Precision T5610)

That would probably mean the CPU is the bottleneck to the GPU.

Main Computer :
CPU:
Ryzen 5 2600x (STOCK)
GPU: Evga GTX 1060 3gb (STOCK)
RAM: Geil Potenza 8gb
SSD/HDD: WD green 120gb SSD/ 1 TB HDD
MOBO: Asus x470-Plus Gaming
PSU: Evga SuperNova 650 P2
Cooling: Antec 120mm liquid cooler

That was my thought as well. Thank you for the confirmation.
