intel vs amd for gaming

hi i was wondering what cpu was better for gaming and future proof.

 

the i5 9600K or ryzen 5 2600

If budget is not an issue, 9600k is a better for gaming. 

However, I remember your post about making money and I would suggest you to keep saving and wait until Zen 2 chips are released

does the i5 9600k comes with a stock cooler?

the 9600k is better in gaming. the 2600 is about 8400-8500 performence, but if we're talking upgrade path, ryzen is far superior

I'm sure you can find about a hundred youtube videos with all the benchmarks you can ask for. They're not even in the same price bracket.

k series doesn't come with a cooler

that's not my choise... it depends on the rest of the system too

 

if you're going to do a 580 for example, a 9600k is not needed

i currently have an i5 first gen so its really bottlenecking and make enough money so..

doesnt matter, its guarantee better than 2nd gen, thats all and good enough to know, 15%~50% better? who cares

It does matter. If Zen 2 is just barely better than Zen+, there's no reason to upgrade from older AM4 CPUs, meaning AMD loses money

from op perspective(from i5 first gen ), 3rd gen is just more promising regardless of any info on performance,

seing as 8 core 16 thread early silicon Zen 2 chips is as good as the 9900k. and that is said to be the mid-range chips. 

 

i dont think we will be dissapointed much.
