can i transfer ?

can i transfer my ssd with os drive to new pc without reinstalling windows .? i have an retail windows 10 pro . can i still transfer it even if had a local account ? or i just need to connect to my microsoft account ?

If the new drive is >= the drive you have now then yes. If not, then you're SOL

 

Just re-read that, you should be able to, but best practice would be to reinstall to avoid driver complications. Connect windows to your microsoft account for easy re-activation just in case something is messed up in the move

You can move your SSD over if you have a non-OEM license, No if it is an OEM License as the OS is registered to your current Motherboard.

You can. Account part is just in relation to activating key. If key is connected to MS account, its fine and will activate again. If its not, you need to re-enter it manually, and OEM keys might not activate again.
