will i have very big bottleneck with my 4770k which is overclocked in 4.4 and rtx 2080 and monitor in 144hz g-sync?

hi i have this cpu which is overclocked in 4.4 also i have ordered the rtx 2080 asus astrix oc edition and one monitor which i i am waiting in somedays which is compatible with g-sync 114hz 1080p

someone told and tell me if you agree or not . he told me that for not to have botleneck he told me to overclocked my 4770k higher like 4.8. and 4.9 also he told me that i have to push higher my rams with very good timings and also he told me that i have to push in the limit the cash memory. for not to have very big botle with ny 4770k.

do you agree or you disagree>?

Quiet a big bottleneck if you ask me. I'm running my 4790k at 4.6GHz and in cpu intense games (like the battlefield series, 64 players, big maps) i'm getting around 70% gpu usage at 1080p 144Hz. Overclocking any further won't make a significant difference.

If you want a locked 144hz yes, but if you are fine with 100-144 then its all good (im using a stock 1700x at 3.5ghz with a vega 64 and its fine)

Let's agree to disagree

also g-sync will help for not to have  botle?

Having 144 FPS without having huge oscillations means locked.

It will bottleneck pretty significantly on some games regardless of clock speed. A lot of the bottleneck has to do with how old the architecture is. This chip was released in mid-2013.

Well, bottlenecking wasn't my only issue with my overclocked 4690k. On games like battlefield, I would have 100% CPU usage which would cause studdering and it was the absolute worst. Upgraded to a 2700x and the issue was resolved. I just wouldn't suggest building any new computer around intels 4 generation chips on the ddr3 platform. But using the 2080 with a 4770k won't be the end of the world until you upgrade to a ddr4 chip and platform.

Told you 100 times, it will work. It will be "ok", it can even be "fine".

Just depends on what you want compared to how the card can perform.

A faster cpu may get you 160 frames but you may be stuck with 120 frames with your cpu.

Very game dependent. Just get the card and find out already.

BRO, you've been posting about this for the past 2 months already i think you have 6 or 8 threads about this topic...ENOUGH.

WE TOLD YOU: 4770K is not quite enough for RTX 2080 especially at 1080p high framerates...and even if you overclock it to 4.9ghz (which is NOT happening anytime soon cause 4770K simply can't overclock that far...you'll be lucky to get 4.5ghz stable) IT WILL STILL HOLD BACK A RTX 2080 at 1080p resolution.

THAT SAID, it's ALL GOOD, cause you'll have a lot of GPU for the FUTURE...it will last you A LONG TIME before you need to upgrade again.

SO....enjoy, and for the love of god STOP MAKING THAT THREAD AGAIN AND AGAIN...4770K WILL BOTTLENECK THE SHIT OUT OF A RTX2080 at 1080p resolution BUT it will still play games VERY WELL.

GOOD NIGHT!! :D
