x299 motherboard

Hey all, I was looking at upgrading some things in my gaming setup and I fell in love with the x299 motherboards, question is, I cant seem to find any place that have water blocks for the chipsets? only thing I can find is a monoblock from EKWB that also covers the CPU, is this just because the x299 motherboards are still new, or is it just because nobody water cools their motherboards nowadays?
Also, do anybody know if there will be a water block for the x299 chipsets at some point or not?

x299 is not new, you must be referring to the refresh boards.

Back in the old days the northbridge needed watercooling when overclocking.Today most chipsets are fine with the stock heatsink even overclocked.So thats why you don't see them watercooled like the older boards was.Even the vrm on some boards will run fine with the stock heatsinks overclocked.

what motherboard are you using? watercool heatkiller makes some waterblocks for x299 VRM, as for chipset there is no need to have it watercooled

I have no particular motherboard in question at the moment. I have had my eye on one from MSI, I no the chipset does not need to be watercooled, but I love the look of a waterblock on the chipsets, always has since the day I first build a custom watercooled pc.

In this case the only option for the chipset is a chinise noname waterblock

Well those does not look that nice :D anyways, if there is no waterblock available for the chipset, i would rather just leave out the watercooling of the motherboard, I also noticed that Koolance has some universal chipset waterblocks, but I dont know if those will fit either. Back to the drawing board for me. Think I will just focus my watercooling to the CPU and graphicscard(s) ;) thanks for the replies everyone :)
