I'll soon be moving out to any area where I will not be able to get a cable line to my house. I REALLY don't want to have to head to the local Starbucks to use the internet. Is there any way to get internet access to my house? Is Verizon's 5g thing a possibility. I use an enormous amount of data(mostly for my Xbox)so I don't think a normal phone data plan will work. Help me!

You can go for 3/4/5G or Satellite internet connections.

Fair warning though, they're often not great in terms of latency, due to the nature of the connections.

Best option, if it's available, is to go for a light-beam connection. This requires having a cable connection to a location you have direct line of sight to, and then setting up two antennas, one at your house and one at the location of the cable connection. This means you'll need someone to consent to you setting up an antenna on their property. These connections can be very fast and stable, but there's quite a few requirements in order to set it up first. The equipment itself isn't a massive issue. Ubiquiti have some fairly inexpensive solutions available.

So Im guessing your moving out in a rural area? Generally those are the area's without cable co's. Id see what you can get for DSL. I know in rural areas its generally 3 Mbps, but I have see as high as 6 Mbps. 4G LTE is an option, but beware of data caps. Satellite is an option but your better off using smoke signals. Ive heard that in many area's WISP's are good, generally provide decent speeds. Keep in mind though anything wireless WILL have higher latency.

5G is not real yet. The "5G" Verizon and AT&T are advertising is bullshit and lies. Verizon's 5G service is not based on the 5G standard. On top of that I heard that they have since stopped deploying it, with the intention of using the 5G Standard in the future. AT&T is just putting a 5G logo on phones and calling it 5G. T Mobile is waiting on the actually standard and has a fucking plan on how to deploy the service. Sprint is probably just going to exist for the moment and I dont really see them deploying shit.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
