Hi all,

I currently am running my brand new system with my ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E, and  my i5 9600K. After I got everything up and running, i wanted to start overclocking, but whatever I try, it just wont go higher than 3.7 GHz.

I am able to underclock it to anything other than 3.7, but it just wont go higher. I have tried turning of all the intel "features" that could be lowering the frequency, but nothing helps.

I am able to tweak everything else in the BIOS. I even removed the CMOS to see if it was a problem with my motherboard, but it doesn't look like it. Could anyone send me in a direction? I am a very frustrated...

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

First update bios

Second what do you mean by it won't work, is it crashing or just not letting you set the clocks any higher

Thanks for all your answers. I thought the BIOS should at startup give the new frequency, locked on all cores. That isn't true. When I'm checking frequencies within linux, they go up to 4000, which is what i set.

Sorry for wasting your time!

Thanks
