I'm wondering about picking up a DS4 for my PC, but I am unsure about compatibility with:
1) Computer itself, From what I have heard it should be fine; Sony did say it would work right away.
2) Games, If there are issues can they be solved?

CPU: i5 2500k (3.3 GH z) GPU: MSI GTX 770 Lightning HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda, 320GB Seagate Barracuda Motherboard: MSI Z68A RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance (1600MHz) PSU: Seasonic M1211 750W Case: Corsair Carbide 300R Cooler: Intel Stock (For the mo)

1) If Sony said it would it will :)

2) Since the layout is mostly the same as the DS3 (with some added stuff and better in general) the worst that will happen is that some features you would get on the PS4 with DS4 will be disabled :)

It work real nice but you need to download a xinput mapper( Sony saids it does but it really dosent ) and you need a micro USB cable if you don't have Bluetooth

Here is the one I use

Great, that's what I thought the case would be.

I have seen that in a couple of games; Stanley parable and portal the games seems to force a rotation. Could this be solved through 3rd part software?

Also Xcom I believe does not detect it, again could this be solved through the use of 3rd party software?

Everything can be fixed through 3rd party software so if you can find the right software (personally I have no idea unfortunately :( ) you should be able to fix it :)

I have one right here. Bluetooth only works with like half the adapters out there, and only on windows 8. Pretty much everything works fine with a micro usb cable. You do need to get an xinput wrapper, http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper.

Works just like an xbox 360 controler when you start the wrapper. Touchpad doesn't work at all.

So Bluetooth does not work with windows 7?

I'm more interested in it as a controller to take the place of a xbox 360 controller which I dislike

I recently bought a Dualshock 4 for my PC and it does work on Windows 7 via both USB and Bluetooth using the mentioned xinput wrapper. It behaves as any Xbox 360 controller would plus you can use the touchpad in the center to control the mouse if you want to. It is by far my favorite controller I've ever used on any platform.

Bluetooth doesn't work on windows 7. And only a select few adapters work with windows 8 and 8.1.

If you use a micro usb cable and the wrapper I linked it will be exactly the same as an xbox 360 controller.

Aso the controller feels soo good in the hand. I've even played several fps games with it just because it's so comfy, and I hate myself for it.

Hmmmm, that is interesting. I read that someone got a cheap ol' ebay one to work with it. While others say you need a good high quality one ~£20

This is the adapter I use and it works perfectly. I recently moved my computer under the desk and the range is limited there, but using a usb extension fixes that immediately.

In my opinion the PS4 is by far the best controller hands down on any platform.

I have the DS4 to XInput Mapper 1.1 Beta 3 I'm currently using windows 7, and everything is working fine with USB, but I'm unsure how to get it working with Bluetooth (if it works on windows 7)

I used the instructions from this link to use my controller with bluetooth so hopefully it will work for you too. The bluetooth instructions are about halfway down the page.
