Hi, my friend found a lost iPad that no one has come to claim. It has a password so we can’t get into it. I am wondering if there is a way to identify the owner without unlock ping the iPad, or if there is some way we coul “break into” the iPad. I am pretty experienced when it comes to tech so I could follow something more complex to fix this. Or should we just go to an apple store and see if they can do something?

depending on where you found it, if there is surveillance or whatnot, they can find the owner that way. or you can see if by just powering it on, letting it connect to a network, and hoping that someone uses 'find my iphone/ipad' they can ping it to that location and come find it, as long as it has power.
