I had a 480 and it was hands down one of the hottest running cards i have ever used, @vinyldash303 is probably right about being dry thermal paste, could you run a benchmark and record temps for us?

tbf im getting new gpu soon anyway will it last another month or so?

I would undervolt the card, lower ther frequency and up the fan curve, the temps wont kill it directly, but if its not temps then yeah the cards just dead
