Well should I wait for the 8700 to be in stock again?

it wont be in stock again.......  (edit: or it is highlly unlikely to be in stock again. because 14nm shortage and Intel is putting Desktop as the least concerned product stack)

you could buy a much cheaper CPU. like say an r5 2600 and  B450 Tomahawk.

Why wouldn't it? And I won't buy AMD anyways. Also I already have the H370 mobo so...

it might, depends on how much the supplier has left, but the TL;DR is 14nm Shortage. Desktop CPUs is the least prioritized product segment for Intel. also they have moved to 9th gen (aka 7th gen refresh, refresh)

you can grab an i5 8400 which is quite a bit cheaper.

i am assuming its because you allready have the mobo (why do you allready have the mobo?). because otherwiese AMD would be the far supirior choice.

I'm buying it from Amazon. I already have the mobo because I already have the build written and I'm already buying parts

id suggest buying from Newegg.

also you need a aftermarket cooler as the included cooler isnt good enough to cool the 8700
