Updating chipset on 5months old system

Please don't recommend that crap. Its more likely to break something than fix anything. Besides, free version is pretty much useless and makes up drivers that don't need update as being vulnerabilities.

 

@srna, you can always update to newer driver as long as OS is supported. 5 months is rather short period. I've installed driver updates where versions are 2+ years apart. Driver installer always has all previous installs included as people only get the latest.

Can i update old chipset driver on system that was installed 5months ago (new chipsed was released 5days ago)

 

I asking because its recommended, to instal chipset as first driver on fresh installed system.

Should be ok. Make sure you download from a trusted website and make sure you know what you are doing.

Please don't recommend IOSHIT software on hardware that's not 10 years old and without active software support.
