I think anywhere between 250-350.

These first gen I7's are still nice and those motherboards are still sought after.

it is a bit more expensive than $20 something around $100

this rig can play all modern games and be a good workstation

need to upgrade CPU to a 6 core xeon fom ebay (aliexpress) for around $30-70 and overclock it to something like 4.2 gHz and the GPU to something like gtx1060 or gtx1070. it is a bit pointless to sell it cause you will not get much cash for it.

Yep, overclockable X58 mobos hold their value darn well for how old they are. Can probs get at $80-100 for that mobo so long as it’s in good shape. And I’d throw in an X5670. The X5675 is a popular choice, has a barely higher base clock, but is $30. The X5650 is on the budget end at $14 or so, but the X5670 is right at the magic 3Ghz point at stock and it’s around $16.

6 core ones are, the quads are like $20. Most X58 CPUs are damn cheap unless you have an i7 980X or X5690.

That depends on the mobo itself, you'd probably get more parting it out on eBay. The high end X58 ones go from $200 or so on up, I think even midrange ones go for $150 or so most of the time.

I mean you can try, but if I saw a rig like this I'd try and wittle them down to no more than $150 or so. Heck I got an MSI Xpower Big Bang X58 and i7 950 for free randomly for a cousin. I did pay $120 for a CPU + mobo combo (bought locally), but that was an X5675 and ASUS Rampage III Formula.
