Hello guys! Just wanna ask which vertical mount is compatible with the Evolv X? Cause unfortunately i've read somewhere that any mount would do, so i bough a cooler master vertical mount and the cable won't fit the included mount from the Evolv X. So i guess i'll just have to look for one online w/c is unfortunately out of stock. So i found this Phanteks cable PH-VGPUKT_01, question is would it's riser cable fit the mount included in the Evolv X? Thanks in advance!

The Phanteks Evlov X already has a vertical GPU mount build into the case all you require is a PCI-E extension.

Yeah it does. That's why i bought the cooler master vertical mount kit to use the riser cable from that but it doesn't fit. The screw holes from the cable to the mount of that's included from Evolv X is like half an inch far away from each other.

For their situation with the built in vertical mount you don’t need to bolt the PCI-E extended into place but is good practice to do so. The mount you have linked for the Phanteks is for adapting the originals PCI-E slots to a vertical mount but you would need an open PCI-E area for it to do so.

I'm unable to find an ATX Case with a side panel and a vertical GPU mount in your price range. Here's all ATX Side Window'd cases newegg sells at that price range if you wanna double check:

Personally, I am not sure if such case exists. Also, keep in mind that vertical mounted video cards make sense only if you are using water cooled video cards

Or if you use an aftermarket mount like the Cooler Master vertical GPU mount that attaches to the 7 slots on a regular size case. Then airflow is not as much of a concern as the built in vertical mount most cases come with.

If you already have a a case I would just buy that.

Many people, including myself have switched to Cooler Masters Vert mount instead of Phanteks mount because it provides better placement (closer to MB) Good luck!

Vert mount is a higher tier than your budget. Just save a little more and your options will open up a lot.

So do you think this PCIE riser cable would fit the included vertical mount in the Evolv X?

Yes, it will. But I rather use a 90 degree riser cable, otherwise it'll be more noticeable.

I would just buy this one for less:

As said a mount with a 90 degree slot would be ideal.
