It really depends on your usage whether one part acts as a bottleneck. Even just gaming has different games that put stress on different components whether it be GPU, CPU, or memory.

With that said, the CPU you have will likely be the component out of the two holding back performance, but without knowing more, we can say things more definitively.

I also don't know if you'd see a large enough performance boost in the GPU upgrade by itself. It's not much more than the next tier up .

Edit: after posting I see you will be doing a complete platform change to the 6500. I am not sure why you asked about the CPU bottleneck with the older CPU you won't be using?

Also, I don't think the AMD card use so much more power that it creates an issue with heat. But I guess every little bit helps.

i dont want amd gpu's anymore they are cheap

i wouldnt call them cheap......, but at this pricetier it is by far the best option.

but they are using so much power and they are heating too much,

rx 580 and 570 are not too hot GPUs(this isnt back in the day with the monsters like gtx 780ti and R9 290x). and they are at the moment the best buy. the gtx 1060 3gb is just a bad card, performance is okay, but the Vram is lacking and the cost of the card is too high.

i will replace my cpu with i5 6500 in 2-3 weeks

save your cash and upgrade to current gen unless you are getting an exceptional deal on the used market.

they are valuewise the best

polaris isn't hot, vega is, but that's probably out of the question here. why a 6500?

and could you tell me if it's a x58 board? then i might know a better (and cheaper) upgrade...
