Okay, good evening everyone.

So... recently I made a post asking for assistance to build a new gaming PC, and, I received... useful help, I think. But, now as I am carefully selecting the components by comparing, reading and watching reviews, I got a doubt that I could not find a clear answer online, so I decided to ask here.

 Which choice is better choice, to pick up a DDR4 3600Mhz CL17 module or a DDR4 4000Mhz CL19  RAM module?
( The reason WHY would be very appreciated along with the answer ).

It really depends on what you're using it for. I don't remember the math but the latency really kills the speeds when you get up high to things like, oh, I dunno, CL19? 

 

I also don't know why the fuck you need such fast ram.

The full subject of RAM timings is beyond the scope of this reply.

But for CAS Latency, the latency in seconds is given by CL * (1 / frequency). A lower number is better.
