'm trying to spend the least money i can but also get pretty good performance and im thinking of getting:
Ryzen 5 2600 processor
ASRock B450M motherboard

But i dont know what ram to get, all of the ram seem so expensive.

16gb of ram, a micro ATX mobo, and the ryzen 2600 (basic because you can just OC for the extra 200mhz that the 2600x gives you)

if you want dual channel, then it should be looked at. you can get 2 4gb sticks, but you can run into the issue of running out of ram in the foreseeable future. 

 

i just think that you should get 16gb if your budget would allow.

If budget is super tight make sure the chosen motherboard has four memory slots and start with a 2x4GB kit. Another 2x4GB (or larger) kit can be added later.

16GB is a solid mark to aim for. It's an amount that most times you won't be touching (especially with a 1050Ti), so it will keep you "future proofed" for a little while. 

 

It's possible to get by on 8GB, but its a lot tighter and you can risk BSODs or extremely low performance if you push your RAM usage too far. If you do get 8GB, get a 2x4 kit and a motherboard with 4 memory slots; that way you can add a 2x8 kit later on for 24GB (or another 2x4 if you'd prefer). You want the 2x4 so you can take advantage of dual channel memory (higher bandwidth, theoretically lower latency), it can yield an improvement in CPU performance and a few fps in games. 

 

Hell, even 12GB is decent enough. There aren't many games that will make you hard pressed for RAM, especially if you don't have an excessive amount of web browser tabs open and/or excessive amounts of background programs running and/or have excessive amounts of mods for said game.
