Ive recently bought a gigabyte rx 580 8gb and I dont know if my current 500w 80 plus standard certified evga Psu can handle it

Specs:
i5 6400
rx 580 8gb gigabyte
16 gb ram
240 gb ssd
1tb 7200 rpm sata
500w 80 plus certified evga

Can the psu handle this?

If i were to guess which model of PSU it is, id higy suggest getting a new PSU. 

Fairly sure they're referring to the W1. Which should replaced, as it's an absolute piece of crap.

then it's either the W1 or the N1, both are crap. Shouldnt blow up if you use an RX 580, but I'm still going to replace the PSU. Not like good ones cost that much.

That's not how it works.

A Bronze PSU can be better quality than a Gold PSU.

You do not need 600W either.

RX580 is 180watt tdp and i ran it with a 450watt psu.

so far so good.
