So, about to reinstall windows onto my new ssd to use as my boot drive but i heard that some programs will not run correctly and will need to be reinstalled cause of issues in the registry. Can anyone explain why and how that works?

I can't explain why as I don't know how, but I know that when I transferred from an HDD to an SSD, my entire steam library wouldn't load and registered as uninstalled despite being on my HDD. The only way i could fix this was by wiping my HDD, adding a new steam library and reinstalling them via steam on my SSD.

If you clone your system using Macrium Reflect, then everything will work.
