I scored a third Voodoo5 5500 mb and a Voodoo4 4500 32mb. So I swapped the GF2 + voodoo2 sets from the 2 other simulair builds. P3 1ghz 512mb 40gb sb-live Asus cusl2-c :)

Oh dear god, all those brown PCBs, I think I might be suffering a serious case of

flashback to my teens.

Reminds me of when I went from a Soyo K7VTA KT133 (if you remember soyo then *high five*) to an MSI KT333 Ultra2 that had a red pcb. I was friggin pumped.

let's have a laugh here!

The Ebay seller now asks now 1299 dollar instead of 1000 dollar :P My system is the same in the basis specs

So my system must be at least worth 2000 dollar hahahaha. My total cost where 65 euro. Voodoo5 40 euro, Coolermaster ATC 20 euro, Kingston mem 3 euro and cpu cooler 2 euro. The rest of the parts where free.

Who can send this buildlog to the seller of that overpriced beige ugly case :P

Haha, well as long as it still does its job I see nothing wrong with that. And X38

is not all that old as long as you don't need the highest FPS in games or do something

compute-intensive IMHO.

Sadly I missed the whole socket 775 era due to army and college, only got back

into the game just as 1366 was in its last days (but 1366 really was pretty

epic as well IMO). But luckily 1366's successors have not been so much better

that my SR-2 rig feels completely outdated; it's probably still faster than

most setups when it comes to raw computing power, you just need software which

can profit from all those threads.

My eyes!

Oh yes...

EDIT:

Aaaand Build of the Week, congrats! :)

there are some great builds there, that dual apg card is a beast! i think my 478 system has an ati readeon 7000 32mb and the colours on the abit ic7 are epic. i did have to take that nice trresucent blue plastic off the top of the board to make the heat sink fit though.
