So I'm having a little problem with my display port.

So someone there said that I should use DDU, so I downloaded it and it said that I should use it in safe mode, so I remove my GPU and connect an HDMI to the motherboard and boot it in safe mode.

The DDU did all the work and now it's restarting and I was looking my GPU and noticed one of the gold plated pins wasn't all the way to the border, so I'm wondering if this is normal or it broke?

This is my first time that I remove the GPU since I built the PC btw.

That shorter contact is normal.

It is exactly the same on my 280X.

There should be another one just like that on the opposite side of the connector.

Thank you @1kv.

@khazad have you tried using HDMI? Display Port gets fucked on MSI mobo's don't know why but it does. Anytime I try to boot into MSI bios when my card is hooked up to Display Port it looks like shit actually hit the fan. Almost like one of those non-validated G Sync displays trying to run G Sync at CES. When I use HDMI everything is fine.

So i don't know how i made it work, but it works now.

I installed the latest nvidia driver and the display port started to work.

This is a same monitor as mine, I use DVI, because DP cable fked my system.

Use DVI cable which come together with the monitor, it can display 144Hz but doesn't carry the sound, you must plug a separate speaker cable to the motherboard if using DVI..

This is my problem with DP cable, I thought it was my PSU or CPU and motherboard which suspected as fail, but it was because the fking DP cable.. I was about to try to RMA the PSU but the last minutes finding revealed the real suspect..

My system specs:

That's really weird, i'll try again with a DVI if the problem shows up again.
