Home Network Re-Vamp

Hello all,

I am replacing my home network backbone because the gear from my ISP is pure garbage (although, that's a given.) I have 2 PCs that need wired LAN connections and I plan on re-purposing an old PC for a Pf-Sense router.

I need recommendations on a:

- 1-4 port gigabit PCIE NIC

- cable modem

- 1-2 AP setup (preferably one to avoid AP switching)

- 5-8 port managed switch (similar to DGS-1100-05PD)

Docsis 3.0 modems:

1)CM500

Or about any Docsis 3.1 modem will work. DO NOT get any Docsis 3.0, 32 Channel modems, they use the Intel Puma 6 chipset and are known to have issues.

for your nic get a intel I350-T4 they are fairly cheap on ebay and  have very excellent performance.

Get a ubiquiti ap most any model will do, but the lite version work great for the home.
