My gaming pc

I am trying to make a new gaming computer for around a 1000$. I honestly don't know which videocard and proccesor I've got to buy, I am thinking of getting a 1060gtx and a i5 9600k. 16 gb ram *corsair vengeance*. This setup will mostly be for gaming but I also want to do a bit of multi-tasking like discord and cod4, duel screen, any tips on what to buy?

Edit:

Radeon 580 150€
Rhyzen 2600 170€
Asus prime 450B+ 102€
Coolermaster hyper cpu 22€
Corsair vengeance 109€
Samsung 860 EVO 500 GB SSD 95€
BarraCuda HHD 35€
Corsaid VS650 power supply 53€
Corsair carbid series midtower 48€
Thermaltake pure plus 3 rgb fans 57€
Total 841€

So now it is well under 1000€ which is really Nice.

I will be going with a double monitor *msi optic 24inch curved screen* 1080p and 144hz.

What do you guys think?

Well that mainly depends on what type of games you want to play, at which resolution and at what settings. Furthermore I would not advice running a shooting game with dual monitors, since your crosshair would be right in the center between the two monitors (so you can't properly see what you're shooting at).

If you want to do a lot of multi-tasking stuff then it would probably suit you better to get a Ryzen cpu (a 2600 or something like that). Do you know exactly when you will be building the PC?

Yes In like 2 months, I would like to play the more high end shooting games like cod4 dat cry5 and battlefield 5. What I meant with duel screen was have one screen mainly for gaming and the other is for stuff like discord YouTube twitch and all of the above. I actually might be able to pick up a used 1070ti for around 300$ so would you advise that or should I go with like the new 2060?

If you are going to be multitasking a lot I would definitely suggest a 2600, since it has more threads (the i5 has 6 cores like the 2600, but it lacks the multithreading). As for the GPU, I would wait to see how the prices of the 2060 turn out. In rasterization performance the 2060 and 1070Ti are pretty equal, so if you can get a 1070Ti for way cheaper you could go with that. If they are close I would go with a 2060 since it's newer (both release date as the fact that it's not used).

2600-580 is a great combo for 1080

performs around the same as a 8400/8500-1060 6gb for less money

I have heard about this combo but is it future proof?

what 580?

good choise

overpriced for what it is, i wouldn't get it

there are better, but not really needed on ryzen

good choise

you could look into the mx500 if they are cheaper

vs is not recommended here, get something tier c+ from the psu tier list, at least 450 watts

what about a mb511?

The 580 is a gigabyte rx580 radeon.

I see a cx 550 watt psu for 55€

And the mx500 is 75€

I have an i5 8600 on air with an RX580 for 1080p gaming and I am very happy with it.

I couldn’t afford to spend too much and I have some games that use the CPU a bit more so I chose for the 8600 over the 8400 for a few extra “clocks”.

Very happy with it and it will do me for about 5 years or maybe more. I could always throw in a second hand coffeelake i7 one day to give it a little more life. I would consider my system future proof for my needs.

that they ask too much for a motherboard of that class. I wouldn't pay more than 60 euros for it, but asus doesn't agree with me

not bad, but it only has 2 heatpipes, but that's not a big problem

Much better, personal user of it actually

well, it's about the same, for less. crucial=micron, so it's a reliable company too

So basically with the setup I just showed you I am able to keep upgrading right? So like upgrade the 2600 to a 2700 for instance and upgrade the videocard to like a 590.

not really with a prime board, but other similar priced boards like a fatal1ty it should be possible. a 590 is overpriced imo
