The best monitor in the world is coming out!

I have been using 4k for about 5 years and I love it.  I hate to trade in my 40" 4k to 34" and 1440p just for 144hz.  This is the first monitor in the world to have 4k and 120hz instead of 4k and 60hz which is what all 4k monitors are today including TV's.  All I wanted was HDR and 120hz and 4k and 40" or more and now its reality...

 

My dream monitor is coming out.

ROG Strix XG438Q with 43in panel HDR / 4K and 120 Hz

 

Im guessing 2000 dollars at minimum......  Im willing to trade in a body part.. sighs

How to power that for games? I always think ROG STRIX is their brand/model for gamers. How to power 4K with 120hz, yikes. Can SLI 2080TI even get close?

And you'll have to trade the rest of your body for a PC to drive it.

It's nice to see the possibility, but it's a little hard to power with a lot of the AAA titles available.

With that size I wouldn't be surprised if it eclipses $2,000, especially given the audience it's going after.

Building out my 4 player LAN setup in the basement, booted up Quake 2 for a second to realize how horrible it looks. Even in 2K...

 

I'm pretty sure the BFGD (big format gaming display) form nvidia are 55-65" 4K TVs at 120hz. Interesting that they don't actually comment on them being 4K, they just say "it's 120hz!!" (making a guess all BFGD are 4K).

 

I think Dell also talked about an Alienware 55" 120hz 4K at CES.

Yup. Then we'll hear everyone on the forum complain about how overpriced it is and how no one will buy it.

Yet, I have a couple friends already positive they're buying the BFG monitors when they're released.

*shrugs* I get not everyone is financially well off, but those people need to realize there are enough people that are for these products pricing structures to make sense.

I would hope a 2080Ti SLI will play 4k @ 120fps with all graphic options maxed out in nvpanel and in game...  If 2080Ti's can hold 120fps and maintain with barely any dipping that is pretty impressive.

The last time I spent 2k on a display was the Sony FW900 22.5 viewable 2304x1440 @ 80hz.  in freakin 1999 lol
