Upgrade CPU or GPU first?

I dug out my old 2014 rig for a friend who is trying to build a cheap PC to replace the Dell XPS 15 (i5 8th gen/GTX 1050/16gb ram) he is using right. Currently the build has a i5 4440 quad core (Hyper 212 EVO) in an ASUS Z97k motherboard, along with a EVGA SSC GTX 760 4GB and a 450W corsair PSU. He has a little less than $200.00 U.S to spend. I am wondering whether or not it would be best to upgrade CPU or GPU,and which one (CPU I was looking at a Ryzen 1500X, GPU 1050Ti or RX 570). He is going to game at 1080p.

Don't replace either the GPU is about as powerful as a GTX1050, and a 1500x is only slightly than 4440

How do you think it will handle modern games?, when I used it it handled BF4 at 1080p pretty well.

 I have a 760 in my backup computer, and it does well in Fortnite and World of Tanks

Get the RX 570 is quite a lot faster in modern games.

There are some killer deals on RX 570s right now. Even RX 580s are pretty low. Go for that first. It won't overwhelm your CPU, and Ryzen prices will come down even further as we get closer to Ryzen 3000.
