Using an android Phone for a VPN

So I have an android phone... and I go on the move a lot... I am very broke... So I cannot afford a VPN. I was wondering if it is at all possible to get an app on the android phone and my laptop. I'll leave my phone at home and use that as a VPN. for my laptop so my data doesn't get stolen... or could you please recommend a free RELIABLE VPN... please

Just install OpenVPN on your PC. It's free and you can just use your home network. Sorta negates the purpose of VPN though. If you are trying to by pass blocked sites there are easier ways but this works too I guess

This does imply, that the user's network allows that. If he/she is behind carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT), then he/she can host a OpenVPN server, but he can't connect to it.
