Would you reccomend overclocking maybe?

Overclocking would certainly help. If you can get a good overclock you could improve your performance by a significant amount.

Hi, TecTips. New user here, im kinda trying to figure out if my computer is being bottlenecked but i ain't no pc shark.
My problem is that i cant get more than 70 fps(not stable bouncing between 50-70 and it feels really laggy) in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 or any other game of that matter, and im running with everything on low. My monitor is 144Hz but running on hdmi atm. so thats why it says 60Hz .

Please help :S hope my english isn't too bad sorry

It's a CPU bottleneck, 2 people have already said that, but it still does depend on what games you're playing and the settings you're playing the games at.

8086k

aorus pro z390

noctua nh-d15s chromax w black cover

evga 3070 ultra

samsung 128gb, adata swordfish 1tb, wd blue 1tb

seasonic 620w dogballs psu

Yeah that sounds like a cpu bottleneck. Check to see what your cpu usage and gpu usage looks like in game.

Mostly Far Cry or Call of Duty BO4 with everything on low.
Will look into overclocking this weekend then. Thanks All :)

Yeah both of those games are taxing in the cpu. I have no idea why BO4 does because it is a pretty simple game but never the less it does indeed use the cpu a significant amount. The 2600k is not a bad cpu when overclocked but at stock it will show it's age.
