Yeah there was a (M) version and yes it was Modular. And yes it has an ok and good Secondary. I have one. EVGA is using Teapo's and it's considered a lesser Tier Cap.....

Corsair's PSU stack is currently: VS, CX, CX-M, TX-M, RMx, RMi, HX, HXi, AXi, SF, Vengence and Vengence-M

Previous Corsair models include: VX, GS, CS-M, TX, RM, AX.

They don't have, or have ever had a model that is just called "Corsair M".

There's lot of EVGA units too. Though they do have units that don't have an offical name (not 80plus certified series, and 80plus certified (not the bronze...etc. series) series).

You cannot just specify a model is good based on what brand of caps it has. For the most past, brands of capacitors mean nothing; The Japanese and Taiwanese brand make low end stuff, and high end stuff, just like the big Chinese brands. And you can still have a shit PSU with high end caps (Seasonic S12II/M12II and FSP Aurum series)

Yes it's CS M or whatever modular unit....and yes Capacitor quality Matters. Most Intelligent People seem to think it does apparently....

There's no Corsair M. M is the suffix that corsair uses to define what units are modular.

It's like saying buy "the car with alloy wheels". All models can have alloy wheels, doesn't mean you should buy it.

No, you haven't said the model.

IDK. Maybe one's parallel imported, so might be cheaper because of that. Maybe a store has a sale.

I don't know where the fan controller gets stepped up on the TX-M series. I am not sure if there's a more agressive fan curve (so louder) on the 750W model, or not; I don't think so, but it might.

Sorry, I already started gooning up, (because of the other guy), and am feeling the effects, so about to head to bed.

Yeah, if they shunt mod it (hardware mod it, you you can run too much power into it), you might be a 650W PSU. If you don't, 550W is easily enough for you to overclock a high end CPU and RTX 2080 (wouldn't really run a 450W, because you'll be running pretty close to full capacity)
