Greetings, I am new to PC stuff so bear with me.

I recently purchased a used computer but I am finding it hard to play some games, like Rise of the Tomb Raider.

How should I upgrade this 'Liquid cooled i7 GAMING EVGA system' i purchased for $380

Specifications (according to the guy i bought it from):

i7-860

EVGA CLC 120 CL11 CPU cooler
EVGA P55 Classified 200

EVGA Superclocked 2x4GB DDR3 RAM

EVGA GTX 580 Classified

Western Digital Blue 1TB

EVGA 450 GD Power Supply

EVGA DG-73 case

Well i'll be the first to tell you that the seller added "liquid cooling" to the title as a gimmick, and also i7, because it's a tiny liquid cooler and an ancient i7. The graphics card is also super old, weaker than a GTX 1050.

My recommendation is to get a 1050 ti, then upgrade the motherboard and CPU later, maybe to something like an i7 4770 and a B85 motherboard, or get yourself some Ryzen and new ram as well. Also, you'd like an SSD in there if anything. That motherboard is a serious overclocker, so if your CPU is at stock clocks, learn how to overclock and throw on a few extra MHz.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Performance:

Better video card; RX570

Improvement to feel:

Cheap SSD

Honestly I wouldn't invest much. It's a very old system, and honestly most of it needs replacing.

Welcome to the forum.

The 1050Ti is such a weak card compared to the RX 570 though.

That's true, I was thinking on the low power end of things but yeah an RX 570 would also be an excellent upgrade.
