Hi guys bought this new monitor today rog swift pg27vq £700+ when using the display port cable provided with a gtx 2080ti it locks my resolution at 1280x800 something like that any ideas...

 

i have tried all gpu drivers up to date, all monitor drivers up to date, hdmi works perfect at 2560x1440 at 60htz

what I did notice was sometimes if you RESTART the pc it wont pic the display port up you have to shutdown then power on again like it will boot to motherboard screen then just not detect

The DP cable that came with my 1440p 144hz was a dp 1.0, maybe thats the same case here lol, do you have any older hardware to try it on?

Yeah, i'm not sure about that part, that could be a faulty cable, or card, i hate these kinds of issues lol, can you run 144hz at lower resolutions?
