Performance Issues on 1080ti (Asus Strix)

Hey Forum,

So I have a problem with my 1080ti 

It throttles and starts lagging somehow when hitting about 63, then when I manually adjust the Fans to around 80% it fixes. However, shouldn´t the card do that by itself?

Idle is completly normal, even when Fans are off.

 

Should I maybe swap the fans or replace thermal paste on the chip?

Card is NOT overclocked, however overclocked its the same.

 

PSU isn´t the problem, and Airflow should also be (Corsair 570x with 4 Fans)

If it throttles at 63, that's definitely not thermal throttling, it's power throttling. However, I'm thinking there's something else amiss

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Yeah, but if it would be power throttling, then why should work once I ramp up the Fans. 

I cant figure out what else would be faulted, cause at medium workloads where it doesn´t hit around 60C it works fine.
